57 percent approval rating from the Louisville Bar Association and all His Honor can say is:
"I'm going to review the result s to the extent that there's some constructive feedback in there. I will study it and learn from it and move forward."
O'Reilly adds: "I wouldn't have given myself those marks, if that's what you're wondering." What world or planet does this man live in???
Thanks to all of your for your emails and taking the time to share your horror stories about Judge O'Reilly with me. Remember there is only one word when it comes to any orders issued by Judge Joseph W. O'Reilly and that word is "APPEAL". Appeal any and all orders he issues to the Kentucky Court of Appeals. That is your only and best option to fight back against Judge O'Reilly.

Judge O'Reilly Just Can't Get the Facts Straight
Just like in the cases that Honorable Judge O'Reilly hears, presides and rules on, he just cannot get the facts straight. In his Judicial candidate interview with the Louisville Courier-Journal:
Why are you the most qualified candidate for this office?
Judge O'Reilly's response:
"I have been the Family Court Judge in Division 7 for six years, during which time I have presided over more than 275 Circuit Court trials and handled more than 150 adoptions, 6,700 hearings and 10,000 docket matters. Prior to becoming a judge I practiced law in our community for 26 years. As a trial attorney I have had experience as a prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney, a plaintiff's attorney and a civil defense attorney. I represented abused, neglected and dependent children and served as the President of Children First, an organization which worked to help sexually abused children and their families. This breadth of experience has proven valuable to me as a Family Court Judge. There are no juries in Family Court so the judge is the finder of fact. I have the ability to see things from different perspectives. My strong work ethic serves me well. I am on the bench virtually all day during the week, and I research and write at night and on weekends. The docket is heavy and ever-growing. I take the time each case requires and I treat people with respect. The quality of my performance is reflected in the many endorsements I have received, which include: The Courier-Journal, Citizens for Better Judges, the Jefferson County Teachers Association, all Lodges of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Greater Louisville Area Central Labor Council. I have received the highest rating for Family Court Division 7 in the Louisville Bar Association Candidate's Poll."

Yet the Louisville Bar Associations 2005 and 2006 Judicial Evaluations rank Judge Joseph W. O'Reilly last. The lowest ranked of 10 family court judges in Jefferson County, Ky.
